Why it's good to be Val
1. No one crying until I got out of bed this morning
2. Cup of coffee number 4......
3. Seeing Superbad tonight
4. No intentions of changing out of my PJs before noon.
5. Discovered the deliciousness (is that a word?) of oatmeal cookie martinis mmmm....
Why it sucks to be Val
1. Still have not started homework due on Tuesday
2. FB season starts pretty soon
3. Paid $11 for the oatmeal cookie martini
4. No Bisquick to be found in the Carlson-Quinn home and the breakfast window closes in 14 minutes.
The trip to Omaha has been great so far. We got in later than planned on Friday night because our plane was late but we still made it over to Old Chicago. Quinn apparently frequents that bar often enough that the bartender knew his name. We had some yummy nachos and played Big Buck Hunter. Big Buck Hunter was $2.50 and 20 minutes of my life that I will never get back. All those years of playing Duck Hunt with the gun touching the TV did nothing to help my marksman skills as it turns out, but I still had a good time! Yesterday John and Craig were gone at the Husker game all day long so I was entertained by the Justins until about dinner time. We had some fried tacos, played some air hockey and some putt putt. I kicked butt and took names at putt putt so it allowed me to regain some of my lost dignity from Friday night's Big Buck Hunter incident. Last night it was off to the bars. Quinn and Craig live right downtown in the middle of everything so we got to try a lot of different places without the hassle of parking. A good time was had by all. The plan at the end of the night was to hit the Max which is Omaha's gay bar. John was a wee bit freaked out last time we went there so we came back to the apartment for that portion of the evening. Anyway, we'll be back Monday in case you are all missing us. In case you haven't been informed next Sunday starts up poker/FB watching craziness. :-)
