mmmmm............Fajitas
Okay since my last update we've been back to Chicago again. Last weekend we went up to Chicago again for John's Grandpa's 95th birthday!! It was a good time but very exhausting. We got to see little Nolan while we were up there too!!! He is getting so big and he gets cuter everytime we see him.
Here's John's grandpa checking out his cake at the party!

.........and here is little Nolan fast asleep on top his grandpa!
Last week we were pretty busy dog sitting and dinner hosting among other things and the house shows it. If you come over, please try to disregard the mud on the floor and the trash strewn about.
This weekend I went out to dinner with Kim to Simply Fondue which was yummy! It is a lot like the melting pot but it definitely has it's own uniqueness to it. After that Kim and I met up with Rachel, Kara, Steph, and Katie at 33. I decided that 33 serves a great purpose. You have a table to sit at and order drinks while you're waiting for your table at the Chocolate Bar. After 45 minutes on the wait list we made it over to the Chocolate Bar. I was still really too stuffed from Simply Fondue to enjoy anything but the ambiance. If you have ever been to the chocolate bar you know about the "Through the Looking Glass" theme of their bathrooms. I'll cliffsnotes it for you if you don't know what I'm talking about. If you're over 5 feet tall and not watching what you're doing, you WILL hit your head. In true Chocolate Bar tradition, I got a bump on my noggin at potty break number three. We closed out the night by meeting up with the boys and the dogs at Steph and Chris' house. They were supposed to come over to the Gutraj house and eat wings, play video games and drink beer but our power was out so it was relocated. (Fortunately it came back on by the time the night was over)
Saturday I went to the best book sale ever with Amy. It was at the YMCA in Carondolet. I wound up back there on Sunday with Justin and Katie, because I liked it so much and I'll probably go back again Wednesday. Saturday evening we went to Famous Bar with Justin, Katie, Rachel and Joe after the NGA Guido's dinner. The martini I had was phenomenal. I am seriously kind of picky about my martinis also but the chocolate martini I had was so smooth and delicious. It had a hershey kiss in the bottom of the glass. mmmm.....
Anyway, Sunday was back to the book sale like I said and then a long overdue dinner with Rubaba. Unfortunately, if you're planning to go out to dinner in west county on a Sunday night your choices are McDonald's and Casa Gallardo, so we went to Casa which by the way meant I had fajitas again. Since I can't finish a full meal anywhere unless it comes with a toy I of course had a doggie bag which meant for lunch today I had.............you guessed it fajitas.
Anyway, today was John's comp day which means we can both leave the house tonight and not feel guilty about leaving the furry kids so we're going to dinner at the Nordamann's. Afterward I get to do homework - YUCK.
