I know someone getting a laptop for Christmas

My top 2 forms of entertainment are at the library. (My husband and my laptop) Never mind that I have a sink full of dinner dishes and 2 weekend trips to unpack from. I want to be myspacing, talking to John and watching TV all at the same time. Is that too much to ask? We are supposed to go camping this weekend. This is the Webster camping trip that I have been looking forward to for a solid YEAR. It's a great time. I didn't really expect it to be cool in August but the heat this weekend is supposed to be ridiculous. Also we had planned on bringing the doggers and it seems unfair to make them endure the heat in their fur coats. John said he'd stay home and watch the dogs and I could go without him but given that I've come down with a huge dose of the bubonic plague this week, sleeping in an outdoor sauna hardly seems like a good life decision. The good news is not camping will give me a chance go and see my mom and dad. My mom's birthday was yesterday.

In other news we got a package in the mail from Nolan and it just occurred to me that I haven't really posted any pictures of him. I pretty much plastered my blog last year with Corey pictures but Corey's in St. Louis so if you show up to enough stuff you'll meet him eventually. Nolan, in case you somehow did not already know is our nephew (as in John's sister's son). He is an absolute doll.



See, I told you he's adorable. Anyway, if everyone could please pray for a break in this heat so that I can use my $100+ camping supplies I got for my birthday I'd appreciate it. Now it's off to finishing cleaning upstairs and watching Barefoot Contessa until my husband and laptop get home.
